Even before you enter the Samurai House, it has already predicted your every move. Like the movements of a samurai’s katana, blades of light guide the visitor throughout each space. By tearing down a dividing wall between the kitchen and the living room in the original project, these blades may lead continuously in every direction. Eventually, the several shapes on the ceiling gently lead towards the upper floor in this two-story residence. If you appreciate carefully however, the silent beauty within this home lies also in recovering the past. Most of the furniture already used by the owners fits perfectly into this new home, where we merge passion for katanas and oriental culture with design and circulation paths.
